FOCACCIA BREAD

Italian Snack

INGREDIENTS

  • water
    1 cups
  • active dry yeast
    1 1/2 tsp
  • sugar
    1 tsp
  • salt
    1 tsp
  • flour
    3 1/2 cups
  • rosemary
    3 Tbsp
  • olive oil
    1 Tbsp

STEPS

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F
  2. To a small bowl, add wrist temperature water, yeast, and sugar. Mix and let stand for 10 minutes
  3. Combine salt and flour in a mixing bowl. Add wet ingredients and mix until incorporated.
  4. Knead dough for 8 minutes.
  5. In a clean, lightly oiled bowl, allow dough to rise for 1.5 hours until doubled in size (do not punch down)
  6. Oil a medium pizza pan and place dough into pan. Dimple the dough and top with oil and rosemary.
  7. Bake for approximately 30 minutes
